This grant allows any teacher, from those in the country’s busy capital of Suva to the hardest-to-reach outer islands, to apply for funding to enrich the academic opportunities available for their students.
To be considered for a grant, applicants must apply for one of the following categories:
Learning Supplies such as books, science kits, and gardening tools
Educational Field Trips* to places like museums and nature preserves
General Enrichment Items like playground equipment or library seating areas
Technology including laptops, tablets, and projectors
*Excursions must comply with Ministry of Education, Heritage and Arts (MEHA) guidelines.
To be eligible for a grant, applicants must:
Be a certified teacher or administrator at a school
Request no more than FJ$5,000 per grant*
Demonstrate how the proposed idea(s) will improve students’ education
Complete the entire application form
Agree that all granted supplies must permanently remain with the school and not with the teacher
*Up to two applications can be submitted per applicant. Please note that submission of a grant application does not guarantee funding.

If your project is selected to be awarded a grant, our staff will purchase your supplies and have them delivered directly to your school starting in August. For field trips, we will help make arrangements and we will pay invoices directly.
