What We Are Doing
The project funding made available through our Foundation is only one way that FIJI Water is making a difference in the lives of Fiji’s citizens. Aside from the obvious benefit of stable income, bonuses, and benefits provided to more than 500 local employees at the Fiji Water factory in rural Viti Levu, Fiji Water provides benefits to communities in Fiji via:
FIJI Water regularly makes water available for charitable Walk-a-thons, schools events, sports days, health awareness programs, and for Red Cross Disaster Relief during times of disease outbreak or natural disaster.
As part of our ongoing investment in the local community, Fiji Water regularly organizes and participates in volunteer service events for our employees, their families, and community members, at local hospitals, schools, and community centers. So far, we have:
The Natural Waters of Viti Ltd. Trust is funded from a percentage of Company revenue and gives directly back into our local community- the six rural villages and numerous settlements surrounding our factory with a population of about 3,000. Since its establishment in 2000, the trust has provided and/or facilitated:
1. Donation of Bottled Water to Humanitarian Outreach and Disaster Relief

2. Employee Volunteer Service Days
As part of our ongoing investment in the local community, Fiji Water regularly organizes and participates in volunteer service events for our employees, their families, and community members, at local hospitals, schools, and community centers. So far, we have:
- Constructed a playground at a local primary school
- Repainted two kindergartens and painted a color wall mural at one kindergarten
- Screened and repainted a hospital emergency ward
- Stained the floors and repainted a maternal health clinic
- Painted color murals in the children’s wards of two local hospitals
- Cleaned and cared for the facilities at the Lautoka Old Person’s Home
- Participated in local Crime-Free days and raised awareness for community policing
- Trained two local staff on mental health awareness at Lifeline Volunteer Call-in center
3. Roll Charitable Giving and Employee Grants

Roll International encourages all of its employees to become more involved in their communities. Through its charitable giving and employee grant program, 100 members of our staff are given $250-$1000 of company money each year to allocate to charities of their choice throughout Fiji. Some of the local recipients include:

4. The NWVL Trust

The Natural Waters of Viti Ltd. Trust is funded from a percentage of Company revenue and gives directly back into our local community- the six rural villages and numerous settlements surrounding our factory with a population of about 3,000. Since its establishment in 2000, the trust has provided and/or facilitated:
- Construction and outfitting of five kindergartens in our villages
- Drilling of bores and installation of water delivery systems in 3 local villages
- Electrification of 2 upland villages and an Indian settlement
- Construction of a home and central meeting place for our local paramount chief the Tui Vatu
- Partnering with the Ministry of Education and local community to build Vatukaloko Jr. Secondary School
- Sponsorship of recycling drives, clean up days, and teambuilding activities with our schools and local sports clubs
