08/09/10 - Fiji Water shortlisted for award
Fiji Water has been short-listed amongst some of the top American companies as one of 12 finalists for the 2010 Secretary of State' Award for Corporate Excellence.
The Department of State has used the State' Award for Corporate Excellence or ACE to recognize American companies who are global leaders in corporate social responsibility.
Natural Waters Viti Ltd's Director External Affairs and Development, David Roth said they are honored as the award is designed to recognize those companies that have made significant difference in the lives of the people and also the broader communities.
Fiji Water has spent millions of dollars in community development and Roth said they are committed to doing everything they can to assist and develop Fiji's communities.
Meanwhile, according the Department of State, this year they received a total of 78 nominations and of these companies, only 12 finalists have been chosen by the interagency Principals' Award Selection Committee.
Some other finalists for the 2010 ACE include Alta Ventures in Mexico, Synopsys in Armenia, Tang Energy in China, Coca Cola in Swaziland and PepsiCo in India
