01/05/08 - Fiji Water Helps Orphanage
Home  >  About Us  >  Newsroom  >  2008  >  01/05/08 - Fiji Water Helps Orphanage
THE children of orphanages -- Dilkusha Home, St Christopher's Home and Treasure House -- have every reason to smile after they were given more than $20,000 by employees of Fiji Water yesterday.

The employees made the most of the money given to them by their employer for charitable organisations by helping the less fortunate children.

Deaconess Olivia Nataniela, of Dilkusha Home, said they were moved by the initiative taken by the company.

Deaconess Nataniela said the company had queched their thirst and they were very grateful to them. "May you always produce water that gives life, that is pure, refreshing and natural," she said.

As part of their commitment to the community, the multi million dollar company had given all of its salaried Fiji based employees between $250 to $1000 US dollars to donate to local Fiji charities of their choice.

Fiji Water Foundation coordinator Molly Powers said that Fiji Water was committed to being a better business, a better employer and a better neighbour here in Fiji. "That is company money for employees to give away," she said.
